King Lear
Fuck, the one time I don't save my post, Blogger.com goes down in its entirety and I have to retype it:
That play slobbed major johnsons, I've seen Parkland plays better than this one. At least the actors at Parkland aren't professionals and as a result they try to impress the audience, and aren't overly too confident of themselves. It pissed me off how only one thing happened on stage at a time, and otherwise major characters who weren't currently in the focus would just stand there with their mouths open. Funny thing is they did it even when in focus. The whole extent of Edward's ability to act frustrated/submissive is keep his mouth open and stand there. He had only one other expression, which was when he was getting some from the ladies, which was one of intense repulsiveness where he would just stare intently at her, tilt his head forward and ram his forehead against hers. Is it just me or does everyone notice these things!?! In the last Parkland play I saw, Sherlock's Last Case, when Sherlock and Watson were having a deep emotional discussion before death because of a third person in the room about to shoot them, the assassin was doing her best to not seem idle. Although the two main characters were taking up all the attention, and the fact that you couldn't even see her unless you craned your neck since she was behind them, she was still trying to slip in a word here and there, tried to break up the conversation and rein in her victims, and was very apparently exasperated, but she still didn't steal the attention. And she was just a STUDENT! Professional actors are vile more often that amateur actors and that's very sad. I hate people who are full of themselves.
In other news, Ben, I will make the forums, although I decided to change the structure a little, not that it will have any visible effect since no one will write anything most likely. We need to get people to go there though, and that will be the hard part.
